How to download the Amazon Search Terms report?

Amazon search data can be a great way for Amazon Seller Central merchants to understand what customers are looking for and how they interact with your products. Here is how Amazon describes search terms data;

The data includes information on conversion rate, popular search terms, click-through rates, and search term impression share to name a few.

How do you get access to these types of reports for search terms?

Option 2: Search Term Report Manual Download

If you are not ready to automate and want to manually download the data, Amazon allows you to log in to your account to request the report

To download the Amazon search report type, you’ll need to navigate to the “Reports” section in your Seller Central account.

  1. Go to Seller Central > Brands > Brand Analytics > Amazon Search Terms Report > Deptartment: Amazon.com
  2. Click “View Search Terms Report.”
  3. Click “Download Report” and save the CSV file to your computer.

Repeat this process for each department and the date range desired.

Open the CSV file in Excel or Google Sheets and sort by “Searched Keywords” to see which terms were searched on Amazon more than once during that period of time. The rows with more than one occurrence represent opportunities where customers were searching for similar terms but didn’t necessarily find them — and you can optimize your listing so that it shows up when they look!

The manual process done on a weekly basis can be grueling. A single report can have over a million rows. Attempting to do this on a daily basis is even more time-consuming.
